Where We Start

What are nutritional foundations, and why do we believe in them?

Before we chase symptoms or the latest trend, we look at what actually supports your body: digestion, blood sugar regulation, hydration, mineral balance, and fatty acid status. These are your nutritional foundations, the building blocks every body needs, no matter your specific diagnosis or season of life.

We believe that when these foundations are restored, your body's own capacity to heal is unlocked. It's not about doing more. It's about getting the fundamentals right first.

So, what exactly is an NTP?

A whole-person approach, not a generic diet.

A Nutritional Therapy Practitioner uses a foundational approach to nutrition, looking at the individual rather than handing anyone a one-size-fits-all plan. We work with and for YOU. Your health. Your story. Your life. Your goals. Your season. Your Bioindividuality. Your Epigenetics.

Bioindividuality means your body is unique, there's no single diet or protocol that works exactly the same way for everyone.

Epigenetics is the study of how environment, nutrition, and experience shape how your genes are expressed, without changing your DNA itself.

The idea behind The Healing House

You were never meant to carry everything alone.

You don't need more information. You need support putting it into practice.

You may already know what you should eat. You've read the books, saved the recipes, bought the supplements, and still feel stuck.

Because knowing what to do and being able to do it are two different things.

In a world full of health information and confusion, we need a simpler way forward: practical, sustainable, science-backed nutritional guidance rooted in the way our bodies were designed to thrive.

And because life is about more than food, we look at the whole picture: body, mind, spirit, relationships, and the seasons you're walking through.

You were never meant to carry it all alone. The Healing House is a place to pause, receive support, and take the next step toward becoming whole.

You are the healing house.

Everything we do starts from within our own home. As you rebuild your foundations, you're not just healing yourself, you're bringing that same health and healing into every space you're part of: your family, your relationships, the people who come after you.

My Story

Hi, I'm Allison.

Just minutes before an official diagnosis, I heard God speak to me: "I can heal you."

Twenty-four years ago, I was living with chronic pain and a long list of physical, mental, and emotional struggles. I followed Jesus and believed in healing, but I didn't know there were practical ways I could care for my body and create healthier rhythms.

Then I met my future husband's aunt, the brilliant and loving Kim Schuette, CN, founder of Biodynamic Wellness. She began walking with me through the process of nourishing my body with nutrient-dense, whole foods and embracing a more holistic way of living.

It changed my life. Slowly, I began to heal.

Twenty-four years later, I still draw on what Kim taught me, with my own children, friends and family, and people I've had the privilege of walking alongside through seasons of crisis, health, and healing.

In 2022, I became a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (NTP) through the Nutritional Therapy Association because I wanted to help others discover practical ways to build healthier foundations.

I believe healing is about more than what's on your plate. Our physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual lives are deeply connected. We need nourishment, healthy rhythms, supportive relationships, and space to listen to what our bodies and stories are telling us.

For years, I've carried a desire to create a house of peace, a place where people can experience God's presence, mercy, and care.

That is the heart of The Healing House.

My hope is to help you build healthy foundations that ripple outward into your family, your home, your community, and your legacy.

Allison, NTP

Your Support Team

You don't have to figure it out by yourself.

Sometimes what you need isn't another person handing you a list of things to do. You need a team.

The Healing House can be one part of your support team, working alongside your physician, therapist, family, friends, and other healthcare professionals. Nutrition support doesn't replace your healthcare team, it becomes another place to receive care.

Maybe you've received a difficult diagnosis. Maybe you're walking through illness, treatment, or recovery, and learning how to eat in a way that actually supports healing. Whatever the season, this is a place to bring that alongside the care you're already receiving.
